Star Chaser

Star Chaser is a colorful arcade-style mini-game where your task is to collect stars and avoid the rocks as they tumble down the screen. Difficulty increases in later waves, so collect hearts and bonus items to restore health and help ease your quest.

Don't be fooled by it's small download size - it includes colorful animated graphics, multi-channel sound and digital music.

No installation required, simply download and run the entirely self-contained executable.
To uninstall, simply delete the executable, no other files are installed/created.

Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2K/XP, Direct-X not required. Freeware.

Why so small?

This is a 5-minute coffee-break type game, and my philosophy is that small games should be small programs.

Portable?

Yes, it will run just fine from a USB memory stick or drive, CD-R, floppy, etc.

Cheats?

Yes, there are cheats - speed up the game, slow it down, enable the laser cannon, restore health, God mode, warp to next level, et cetera. Right now I'm using the cheats as a thank you gift for donations - if you make a donation you'll get the cheats for all the games. If you really want the cheats, and really can't afford a donation, contact me and ask nicely.

What if it doesn't work with my sound/video card, etc?

It should run fine on the vast majority of "well-behaved" hardware. It has been extensively tested, and I'm not currently aware of any hardware that it won't run on. However, there's only so much support that can be built into a small program, and someone will eventually discover some odd hardware combination that it won't run on. Contact me with specific details and perhaps the problem can be resolved.
